Been thinking for few days and playing around with Lv80 BM hunter talent trees.
Got some idea of what specs which i be residing based on BG purpose.
I personally find Chimaeras to be the best pet for battleground.
Reason is because of their fast cooldown Froststorm Breath.
It slows enemy for 5 seconds and at the same times dishing out ranged Frost & Lightning dmg. For this case, i'm not too sure whether the breath dmg is under physical or spell.
I also believe Gorilla pet would be unstoppable in BGs.
Their health & armor is so thick that we can basically use Aggressive mode and walk in BGs =P
During Lv60 AV, i frequently stayed alive while under the situation of 1v1, 1v2 or even 1v3.
Survival is crucial if i want to get more enemy frag kills.
Probably i will make 3 specs of 3 types as my consideration list.
Meaning to say, Pure, Offensive and Defensive BM based on my personal playing style.
Pure BM: (66/5/0) :
Simple BM tree spec with 5% critical rate chance to proc talent spec abilities for hunter.
4/5 on Frenzy is sufficient enough with it's 80% chance rate.
I shifted 1 point of this talent to maxed out Catlike reflexes.
I believe Chimaeras talent spec combine with Catlike reflexes allows it to survive better.
From here, i will need to extract out the talent points from BM side as much as possible and assign over to Marksmanship or Survivalist spec.
Some key points or styles which i do in BG. I called it F.A.T.H.O.P.E style of playing.
F : Flank - I like to play from far range or flank enemies from the sides during BG.
A : Aim - I would always go for the soft targets enemies first; Cloth, Mail, Plate wearer.
T : Trap - Always lay traps before engaging enemy. Disengage when near melee enemy.
H : Hotkeys - Set your most usage macros under 1-5 as they are near to WASD buttons.
O : Open - Making sure approaching enemy has open distance with me. No close combat.
P : Pet macros - Activate Intimidation + Bestial & Devilsaur Tooth or cycle for balanced dps.
E: - Ensure - Always ensuring my pet survive by mending it. Pull it back when health is low.
Offensive or Defensive ?:
Given myself an option to choose offensive or defensive BM is kind of contradicting.
Let's say HP1 = Hunter + Pet attacking is BM / Marksmanship hybrid hunter.
Let's say HP2 = Hunter + Pet attacking is BM / Survival hybrid hunter.
If no one is targetting me, HP1 = highest DPS.
If enemy is targetting my pet, HP1 > enemy.
If enemy is targetting my pet, HP2 is still > enemy but slower than HP1.
If enemy is targetting me, HP1 will lose out compared to HP2.
If enemy is targetting me, HP2 will have better chance than HP1.
When comes to BM hunter, I need to think again.
- Capping BM spec as 51 points and place rest on other talent.
- Adding the required BM spec which cost > 51 points and place rest on other talent.
And yet again, when comes to BM hunter, i need to think of these:
- To play simple BM hunter with MM or simple BM hunter with Survivality ?
- To play BM hunter that procs effects or to play BM hunter that goes for dmg ?
- To play with Aspect of the Hawk or not ?
- To play with more HP or more Armor spec or both spec ?
Thinking again, Hunter dies easily if faced close combat.
I am a hunter, not a melee attacker. I shouldn't be wasting specs on survivalist talent.
If i were to do that, i might as well play a melee class.
No offense but that's my personal opinion.
Even if i were to put points under this tree, i would choose those specs which will pull my distance away from my enemy as much as possible.
Offensive BM hunter with Proc in mind: (56/5/10)
If i'm going purely on proc-ing effects using BM hunter, i will most likely choose this.
Improved Aspect of the Hawk is useless here since my normal shots does not proc the pet talent.
I will be using Aspect of the Beast as i will be playing purely kiting in BG.
I will be using Aspect of the Monkey when enemy are near me to enjoy the dmg reduction.
I will be using trap Glyphs to slow enemy and pull away our distance while my pet grind em.
I might be using Aspect of the Monkey glyph to enhance my movement if engaged.
I am waiting for Glyph of Bestial Wrath.
I am hoping the developer would take my suggestion on adding Aspect of the Beast in talent.
Hmmm... need to put on thinking cap and ponder again....

Tamed my 3rd Pet - Nutcracker (Uhk'loc)
It took me a total of 6hours plus to wait for him to spawn in the Cave.
Despite having a gorilla pet tamed, i still pursue to get him.
Indeed, his tanking abilities in PVE is AMAZING.
At lv62, he tanked a group of 12 carrion birds type in outlands with his health full.
I only healed him once using Mend pet.
I reckon him as the best PVE pet for hunters in WoW to-date.
He's the only White Gorilla in World of warcraft that is tameable.
At level 65, here's the damage he could do when Bestial Wrath combines with Devilsaur tooth!
Here he is tanking massive mobs and still kicking!
You can see his damage when he executes his Thunderstomp!
And now~ with Critical~!
His highest Thunderstomp damage is around 1.5k at Lv65~!
You can see Nutcracker is dying but at end part, he never.
His defense hit 10,000 at lv65.

Found my true pet in Battleground - 2nd Exotic Pet
After several tries but in vain to find King Mosh spawning spot,
I went Feralas to tame the next Legendary exotic pet - Chimaera.
I went to add the pet talent based on my style of playing.
Indeed, he proved me greatly in battleground with massive killings.
I was awarded with 5000 kills achievement in war and at the same time awarded as
"Wreckling Ball" in the same battleground O.o

Tamed my first Exotic Pet - Ironhide Devilsaur
Oh yes! WoW version 3.0.2 finally arrives~!
Hunters gained free reset on their Talent tree and new talent skills!
Pets were also reimbursed with a Talent tree of their own ~ =)
Fairly easy to tame when i'm at lv60.
My freeze trap duration is 20 seconds which is just nice to tame this mob.
Tested him in BG.
Tends to die fast. Devilsaur is only feasible in PvE or small Arena afterall.
Battlegrounds are too tough for them to survive.

Creation of new guild - Tian Di Hui
(Guild logo designed by me)
Finally the day of setting up the guild has come for me & guanzhong.
Life was hard when we both started with nothing as newbies.
This guild has a theme, if possible we will only recruit local Singaporean or Malaysian players.
Asians also welcome. The purpose is to gather up and play together during the same time frame so we can build up rapport and support as a guild in unity and as a whole.
I specially created my Chinese Swordsman show female warrior - Yangbamei.
I think most likely i will be deleting her and re-create a new male warrior - Guojing.
Just bought new DVD - Se Diao Ying Xiong Zhuan which inspire me to name him as Guojing.
Most likely will be using Sword or Fist as my main weapon for him =)
